In this 3 hour session delegates will gain an introductory overview to the current social media world.
What will I learn in this session?
- Discuss the fears and opportunities that crop up when the topic of ‘social media’ is raised.
- Look at ‘what’ we want social media to ‘do’.
- Consider ‘who’ we are interacting with online.
- Spend some time looking at ‘where’ we go online, including examples of how some of the different tools have been used, and some specific Christian projects.
- Blogging

- Think about ‘why’ we need to be in the social media world
- Consider how to take your first steps online.
What preparation do I need to do?
- There is no official preparation is required for this session, although it may be helpful to put forward any particular questions that you may have early in the workshop.
